Fiona Coughlan to Speak at SNEAPA 2021 Virtual Conference

Fiona Coughlan of Barrett Planning Group, and MA Climate Champion, will be presenting at the Meeting Local Climate Goals —Tools and Resources for Local Planners at the virtual 2021 Southern New England APA Conference (SNEAPA). She will be joined by RI Climate Champion, Jim Riordan, and representatives of the American Planning Association Sustainability Communities Division (APA SCD) to present to an audience of planners from across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
The session will focus on the ability of various organizations and municipalities of all sizes to use the designated climate action tools. These tools were developed by planners at the forefront of sustainability and resiliency research, following a comprehensive data analysis and engagement process. Each focuses on specific strategies to support planners in proactively and effectively responding to a changing climate, identifying opportunities to implement local/regional/state climate action and resiliency planning and opportunities to collaborate.
